Mana is the most famous island in Kornati archipelago, it is a must-see. It has remarkable cliffs and on the top of them there are remains of an old movie set made half a century ago. Nowadays, these ruins look like remains of an ancient village. The film appeared in cinemas in 1959. Its original title was in German – “Raubfischer in Hellas“. “As the Sea Rages“is the title of an American version, and it was a real blockbuster in those days. The famous actress Maria Schell, one of the first movie idols of the postwar generation, played in it together with Cliff Robertson and Cameron Mitchell, and the film was directed by Horst Hächler. Everyone visiting Kornati will experience this unique landscape. No matter how many times you’ve been to Mana, you cannot stop admiring its unusual beauty. A beauty that cannot be found elsewhere.

Beach Lojena is the only true natural sandy beach on Kornati islands. This beautiful beach is located in a bay deep carved into the land on the southwest coast of the island Levrnaka.

In the central part of the bay Lojena is covered with white pebbles on which continues the rocky coast and the sea bottom covered with silvery sand. On the island Levrnaka there are only two small restaurants for yachtsmen, situated on the opposite side of the island.

The hill above Lojena is a lookout with a fantastic view of the beach and the other nearby Kornati islands and it’s worth visiting. The path up the hill is easily accessible so by walking you are at the top in a moment.

Nature Park Telašćica is located in the southeastern part of the island and with the surrounding waters as well as 13 islands, islets and rocks it makes a miraculous harmony of nature. The rocky shores of the bay are low on the landward side while facing out to sea are imposing cliffs reaching in places the heights of 160 metres. Telašćica is approachable by land and partly by road, but for the most part via hiking trails through picturesque Mediterranean landscapes.
